We kick off the fun each year with a great Opening Night.
Starting from 4pm, join in the fun with ice skating, carnival rides, roving street performers on stilts and live music to get you dancing in the street.
Be there as we turn on the lights for the first on the newly renovated Bathurst Court House with the Opening Ceremony at 5:45pm.
A special Smoking Ceremony will take place at Keystone thanks to our Wiradyuri and First Nations Elders.

In addition to the event in Kings Parade, Tremain’s Mill will be another hot spot for locals wanting to enjoy light, film, music, art and enjoy a lantern parade.
Immerse yourself into the arts and culture of Bathurst at Tremain’s Mill with the FAST CARS Lantern Parade and drum circle, live music, a mini film festival, mulled wine and delicious food. This magical event features a stunning collaboration between local artist Nicole Welch and, Leanna Carr-Smith Wiradyuri Elder Wirribee, Kate Smith and drummer Rob Shannon, showcasing their works from 5pm.
