Mount Panorama/Wahluu

Mount Panorama Whaluu at night.

Mount Panorama/Wahluu is an icon not to be missed when visiting Bathurst. The mountain which is famous in Australia and around the world for hosting several events on the Australian and International motor sporting calendar, attracts crowds in droves each year.

While the engine revving and hairpin bends undoubtedly put Bathurst on the map, the appeal of the mountain goes far beyond its motor sporting prowess. The Mountain also plays host to a number of other events throughout the year, including the Inland Sea of Sound music festival, the Panorama Punish, and community gatherings in the pit complex.

The Racing Circuit is a public road outside race periods, so yes, you can drive around the iconic Mount! With spectacular views from the top, picnic facilities, a playground and the new Skyline Boardwalk it's quite easy to spend a couple of hours here.

Mount Panorama is called Wahluu in the Wiradjuri language, and the mountain is a significant site to the Wiradjuri people, both past and present.
