Artist Birrunga Wiradyuri is a practicing visual artist whose narrative works explore the spirituality of the Wiradyuri people, in historical and contemporary contexts. This work includes a curated selection of Birrunga’s paintings that reflect on the ‘Yindyamarra’ way of life for Wiradyuri people: to respect, to go slowly and take responsibility.

This work was originally projected in 2021, and was recognised as a Welcome to Country by Uncle Brian when it was first screened. It’s also a timely addition to this year's program on the anniversary of the Bathurst War.
