The all ages Winter Playground is the place for fun, amusement and adventure day or night. Packed with an open-air Ice Rink, ferris wheel, two storey carousel and an evening light show there is no better place to experience winter than right here.
Get high, we mean 30m high on the giant ferris wheel overlooking Bathurst from the centre of town. Sing while riding horses on the two-storey carousel. Laugh with friends and skate under the night sky and watch the Court House take flight on a journey into an alternate universe.
Need a break from the excitement of the Festival? Step into the heated marquee of the McDonald's Bathurst Ice Rink and take some time to relax. The little ones can play in the indoor Tumble Town play equipment, and there are plenty of lounges to use while you catch up with friends.

McDonald's Bathurst Ice Rink
The McDonald’s Bathurst Ice Rink will be open every day of the festival, from 9am – 9pm. We recommend purchasing tickets online to avoid disappointment.
Child (3-14 years) $8 per person
Adult (15+ years) $12 per person
Skating aid $6 each
This year there will be dedicated ice skating sessions for kids, adults and experienced skaters throughout the festival.
Kids Sessions
If you are worried about your little ones, this is the session for you. Guide your child along the ice in this kids friendly session. Children aged 3 - 14 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Experienced Skaters
Experienced skaters, you can enjoy the cool crisp morning, freshly settled ice and plenty of space to skate. This session is designed for experienced skaters looking to enhance their skills and enjoy a little space and freedom on the ice rink.
