There are so many great ways to get the kids involved in this year's Bathurst Winter Festival including the McDonald's Bathurst colouring in competition, the Treasure Hunt, kids craft packs, ISO-lympics and Kids Day on 8 July 2020. Keep reading to see how you can get your children involved during the school holidays this July.


McDonald’s Colouring Competition

Bathurst Regional Council has partnered with McDonald’s Bathurst to run a colouring in competition to celebrate the 2020 Bathurst Winter Festival. The competition is open to anyone aged 0 - 12 years old and 5 winners will be chosen.


The winner of each category will receive:

  • Family Ice Skating Ticket to be used at the 2021 Bathurst Winter Festival Media Launch 25/6/21 (ticket for 2 adults and 2 children).

Treasure Hunt

Explore Bathurst while collecting treasure to go in the draw to win one of many Bathurst Prize Packs!

Take your Treasure Map to any of the participating businesses to collect 10 unique stamps (your treasure). Once you have found a map full of treasure, drop your entry into the draw in the foyer of the Council Chambers.

Kid's Craft Packs

Our Kid’s Craft Packs are exciting, hands-on, fun projects for children of all ages. Challenge their creativity and experience the excitement of the Bathurst Winter Festival from the comfort of your home.

Our craft packs are now sold out. If you received one, we would love to see your pictures of the kids enjoying the packs. Please share on Instagram or Facebook and tag us along with the hashtag #bathurstwinterfestival.


Kids Workshops with The Greens on William

The Greens on William are offering kids workshops these school holidays. The workshops offer a space for fun and creativity for 5 to 12 year olds with various art and craft projects.

Various workshops are available to book online for $20 per session and the children get to create a variety of winter crafts.

ISO-lympics at home

At home wishing the Olympics were on tv? Why not create your own at home with our ISO-lympics program. Bring out your fun competitive side against the rest of your family by creating your own flag, mascot and uniform. This program includes everything you need to have your very own Olympics at home with indoor and outdoor game ideas, an opening and closing ceremony and fun creative medal ideas.

 Kids Day - 8 July 2020

Keep the kids entertained at the Bathurst Winter Festival Kids Day on Wednesday 8 July. There will be plenty on offer including online dance classes from Bathurst Academy of Dance (BAD) and story time with Pure Imagination Performing Arts (PIPA).
