If you would like to be part of the Bathurst Winter Festival there are lots of ways you can be involved. If you produce delicious food or create unique goods to sell at markets, then we want to hear from you. We're also looking for businesses or community groups who would like to hold their own event as part of the festival program, as well as event partners to support us in delivering this exciting event.

Program of Events
Council would like to encourage local businesses and community groups to take advantage of the Bathurst Winter Festival, and hold their own event, promotion or activity as part of the Bathurst Winter Festival, between 6 – 21 July 2019.
These additional events will encourage visitors and locals attending the Bathurst Winter Festival to embrace the cooler weather and explore other events, attractions and venues in the region and extend their stay during what was previously a quiet time of year for local businesses and tourism providers.
Bring Winter into your Business
To give visitors and locals the opportunity to explore more of Bathurst, while spreading the footprint of the Bathurst Winter Festival, owners are encouraged to decorate their businesses. It might be a shop window, a reception area, or even a garden that is dressed up to celebrate Winter.
There will be some great prizes for businesses with the best displays, but all decorated businesses that are registered will be listed on the Bathurst Regional Council Events Facebook Page, giving your display and business exposure to the whole community.
To find out more information, or to register in the competition, please download the application form.
To encourage more traffic through the doors of local businesses, the Bathurst Winter Festival will be coordinating a treasure hunt. To take part, festivalgoers will need to collect 10 different stamps from participating businesses, to be able to go in the draw to win one of the Bathurst prize packs.
For a business to take part, they will need to donate something that can be added to the Bathurst prize pack. They will then be listed on the Treasure Hunt page of the Bathurst Winter Festival website, with their business address and opening hours.
For more information, or to sign up your business, please download the Treasure Hunt application form.
To help Mum and Dad keep the kids occupied these July school holidays, a Bathurst Winter Festival scavenger hunt will be listed on the website. There will be no prizes, as this is not a competition – this scavenger hunt is a list of free things for the kids to see and do during the festival.
Most of the items listed in the hunt will be within the Festival precinct, but any business involved in the festival (as a sponsor, when running an event in the program of events, by decorating their business or as part of the treasure hunt) will have the opportunity to add one item to the list.
Council is encouraging local accommodation providers to take advantage of the Bathurst Winter Festival, and offer accommodation packages to visitors travelling to attend the Bathurst Winter Festival, between 6 – 21 July 2019.
These packages will encourage visitors to extend their stay during what was previously a quiet time of year for tourism providers.
